12. Waiver Wire

A player not on a roster can be picked up by a team for $3.00 minimum bid. You may pick up as many players as you wish through out the season.

If more than 1 team bids on the same player, they will enter in a "Bidding War". The "Bidding War" will be a silent bid by all owners involved and they will not know what the others bids are. You are only charged with a "Bidding War" if you continue the process after you are notified that there is/are another team(s).

Limited to only 4 "Bidding Wars" for the season for each team.

Must be done by Noon Wednesday.

Released players are not available until the following week.

13. Franchise Players (NEW)

The franchise player rull will be disolved over the next 2 seasons. Only one player can be protected for the 2000 season. In 2001, the Franchise player rule will no longer be in effect.

Each team will be able to keep 1 franchise player from the previous season. You can only give the tag of "Franchise Player" to the same player 1 year in a row. For instance, Tait has T. Davis on his roster from last season, he can make T. Davis a "F.P." only for this season. Next season T. Davis will have to be thrown back into the pool to be drafted. Now he can be drafted again by Tait next season and tagged a "F.P." the following season after that.

If you keep a Franchise Player on your roster, it will be your first round draft pick. If you chose none, then you will have your 1st round draft pick to select any player still available.

A few weeks before draft night, the commish will begin calling the teams (from 6th to 1st place of the previous season [rule #6]) to determine if the are or are not keeping a Franchise Player. You DO NOT have to say WHO they are, at that time. After calling everyone and communicating the status if each team with franchise players, the commish will again contact everyone and get their draft order selection. Again we start from 6th to 1st. On the night of the draft, just before the draft, you will give the name(s) of your Franchise Player(s) via "secret ballot". At that time the commish will read everyone's FP selections and then the draft can commence.

This rule will be in effect for players on the 1999 roster to be protected for the 2000 season.

This may sound complicated, but it is not. It gives a team the chance to keep a player for 2 consecutive years.

14. A majority vote of the franchise owners present is needed to amend the rules or to add new rules.
